Jacob: Gen. 49:5-7: "Shimon (Simon) and Levi are brothers; their weapons are implements of violence. Let my being not be united to their assembly, because they slew a man in their displeasure, and they lamed an ox in pleasure. Cursed be their displeasure for it is fierce and their wrath for it is cruel. I divide them in Jacob and scatter them in Israel." Moshe Rabainu: Deut. 33:8-11: "Your Tummim and your Urim belong to your Kind One, whom you tried at Masah with whom you contended at the waters of Meribah. Who said of his father and mother I have not seen them. And he did not acknowledge his brothers or know his own children for they have guarded your word and watched over your covenant. They teach your right rulings to Jacob and your Torah to Israel. They put incense before you and a complete burnt offering on your altar. O Yahweh, bless his strength and accept the work of his hands. Smite the loins of those who rise against him and of those who hate him that they rise no more."

Comments: Levites have several key personality traits. They are to be separate from all Israel for an initial punishment for misplaced hate and anger. They will not have a land inheritance and in their global wanderings will be seperated from the world and the people of Israel. They are found today in every tribe of Israel. Simeon also will inherit the less desirable parts of the holy land. Their temper is infamous and causes many problems. Israelites with bad tempers and unstable home lives fit this bill. In post exodus times Levi would serve Yahweh at the altar and after the 2- house separation would minister Torah to all Israel. Many traditional rabbis and synagogue officials such as cantors and bal korehs,,,, (Torah readers) can be found to be from Levi. Many of those who teach Torah today as well as the Torah of Messiah who identify, as Jews are Levites, despite the fact that they don’t know mother or father and cannot prove their Levitical status. Yahweh will always protect Levites as long as they remain faithful to their calling. Moses does not prophecy over Simeon, since Shimion never displayed any redeeming qualities to Moses or before Yahweh. They lacked and continue to lack repentance. They are said to be Israelites in Western Europe and those descended from Western Europe, (Scotland, Ireland) with mean spirits and hot tempers, most of whom are not bible believers.
